Servant of the Lake Kitchen Map — Vanderboom Estate Demo

The Vanderboom kitchen is a compact left-wing room off the entrance hall. It exists almost entirely to support Aldous Vanderboom’s porridge— the Demo’s longest inventory chain. Knowing where wood, oats, and the stove sit relative to the hall saves repeated door clicks while you chase matches from the cat chair or sugar from the upstairs 235 cabinet.

This page maps Demo kitchen geometry only. A larger servant pantry or guest dining space for the August 13, 2026 full release is speculation until Rusty Lake shows verified layouts.

How to reach the kitchen

From the entrance hall, take the left door. You return through the same door to reach:

• Maid crate (milk) in the hall.
• Right stairs (pot, sugar cabinet, mouse hole).
• Central hall (cat, matches, portraits).
• Aldous bedroom (porridge delivery).

Treat the kitchen as a leaf room with one exit— plan round trips before lighting the stove.

Entry sightlines

On first entry you should locate:

• Table with oats bowl and recipe note.
• Stove assembly (firebox, door, top surface for pot).
• Wood pile or floor wood pickup near the stove.

The note text matches the porridge puzzle steps: pot on stove, milk and oats, sugar, heat.

All heat flags must be true before the pot becomes collectible. An open stove door or unlit wood blocks progress even if ingredients are correct.

• Matches — Central hall cat chair after mouse exchange.
• Milk — Entrance hall crate by the maid.
• Small pot — Upstairs shelf above locked cabinet.

Expect three hall loops minimum: gather upstairs and hall items, then execute the stove chain here.

Recommended kitchen route

1. First visit — Pick up wood and oats; read recipe note.
2. Hall detour — Collect milk, pot, sugar (after portraits), mouse, matches (after cat).
3. Second kitchen visit — Wood in stove, light, close door, pot on top, add milk, oats, sugar, take porridge pot.
4. Exit to Aldous — Leave left door, cross hall, enter Aldous’s room with prepared pot.

Optional: complete easter egg 728 before bedroom if detouring through hall hand hole.
